Hi, i’m shanna

Big Ideas have a story…

Words matter. Yet, in an increasingly robot-dependent world, it’s the authentic intention behind our chosen prose that has the profound power to keep the art of language alive.

For me, words are just words without a beating heart behind them. I believe that great storytelling, the kind that connects us to a feeling, is rooted in human-experience and made up of our very own blood, sweat, and tears. That’s the stuff that gets passed around the campfire for generations—along with copious amounts of marshmallows.

Like many writers and creatives out there, I went to college. It was amazing and I learned a lot. Including what takes to juggle a 3.5 GPA, work two jobs, and how to solidify friendships with double-decker quesadillas at 2 am. Though upon reflection, my most treasured lessons and creative inspirations come from venturing out into the wild and soaking up every drop of life (both good and bad) that I possibly can—like a thirsty little sponge.

Throughout my travels across the world, trekking miles of the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain, surfing in Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, as well as my time working at companies in various industries, I was surrounded by people from all walks of life. These invaluable, cumulative experiences expanded my perspective and strengthened my vision for how I want to leave my mark.

And while we can all say that we want to do something great, I’ve found that true success goes beyond the intersection of a good idea and the strategic execution of that idea. The secret ingredient, that sets us apart from the robots and the followers, comes from the heart and soul behind what we do—that well-lived, well-earned, real-life story has the power to make magic and spread it like wildfire.

Let’s transform the ordinary into something they’ll never forget.
